My rates

I charge £32/hour and offer shorter sessions at the same rate (e.g. 30 minutes for £16).

Sessions typically range in length from 30 minutes to an hour and in frequency from one to three times a week, depending on the individual needs and goals of the learner.

How sessions work

All sessions are online, via Zoom. I screenshare to various resources and the learner and I can both use the tools on Zoom to write and draw.

I often use the virtual manipulatives and other tools on Polypad, a ‘virtual mathematical playground’, alongside many other online games and resources.

For GCSE prep, I make frequent use of past exam papers and exam style questions from CorbettMaths and MathsGenie.

I am happy to make suggestions about activities that learners can do in between sessions. For younger learners, this may be written work, online games, or board games they can play with the rest of the family. For those working towards GCSEs, it might include practicing exam-style questions or past exam papers, that we can look over together during the next session.

Cancellations

I ask for 24 hours notice if you need to cancel a session for any reason. If you are unable to give me this notice, I will generally charge the full cost of the session, although it may sometimes be possible to rearrange.
